Expedition Chocolate takes a pretty conservative approach to shipping. As you can imagine, chocolate and heat don't go to well together and Texas is known for some hot days. We've had a few questions and we want to answer them here. We do have more information on our shipping policy page.

If You Live In The DFW Area:
We greatly encourage hand delivery of our chocolates. It means the box won't sit in a distribution warehouse overnight and risk melting.
We offer FREE delivery on orders over $20 within a 15-mile radius of downtown Dallas.
If you are outside of a 15-mile radius, the package will be sent in an insulated box and sent priority - which will be 1-day delivery to most of the metroplex.
If you are outside of a 15-mile radius and want to avoid shipping charges and can schedule a pickup - please contact us first and we can arrange it.
If You Live Outside of DFW:
All packages are sent via priority mail (hopefully soon we will offer multiple carrier options).
Packages are sent in insulated boxes to protect the chocolate from temperature fluctuations. A cold pack is used to cool the interior of the box.
If you order late in the week we hold the package to ship Monday morning to avoid it sitting in a postal warehouse over the weekend.
If the weather is expected to be over 90 degrees (here in Dallas or at the destination) we may delay shipping. We will notify you of this and you will have an option to cancel your order.
We expect that by June - and probably through early September - we will have to suspend shipping outside of DFW except by special request (we will likely need to arrange overnight delivery).
As always, please contact us with any questions at info@expeditionchocolate.com.
